MEMORIAPOLIS Launch Trailer
SUMMARY
Memoriapolis is a historical city-building game developed by the French team at 5PM Studio. The game uniquely blends civilization-building mechanics with dynamic population needs and cultural influences, creating a world shaped by player decisions.
This trailer marks our second collaboration on Memoriapolis, and once again, we were brought on board by The Hungry Beast.

CHALLENGE
The central narrative goal of this trailer was to visualize the passage of time through a single, unchanging figure — a symbolic embodiment of the player. This character appears across all historical eras, representing the player’s constant presence and influence over the evolving world of Memoriapolis.
Technically, we faced the challenge of turning game assets into layered cityscapes. Using Houdini, we procedurally altered provided models to resemble eroded stone — aged by time but rich in story.




TEASER
To set the stage, we released a short teaser ahead of the full trailer launch. This cinematic glimpse introduced the symbolic ruler — a timeless figure standing at the heart of each era.




RESULTS
This second trailer for Memoriapolis deepened the visual and narrative identity we helped build in our first collaboration. Highlighting the player’s timeless role across changing eras allowed us to tell a more personal story — one that resonates with the core game experience.
The partnership with The Hungry Beast helped align narrative, marketing, and creative goals. Our procedural Houdini workflow ensured visual scale and detail, while preserving the emotional clarity of the concept.
